I have always had a love of cooking and as a woman with Celiac Disease and small children who only eat what they want, I get a lot of practice with it. As you can guess I have a ton of cookware and baking pans since I also love to bake, but there are a few pans in my kitchen that I love more than most. One of these is my one skillet wonder, or electric skillet.

Growing up, I used to hear my mom talk about how much she loved her electric skillet, and she always had one to cook with. It wasn't until the last year, though, that I realized why. I was fortunate enough to receive an electric skillet for Christmas and have been using it since.

This Oster Electric Skillet is not the only size you can get, but for my family, it is the perfect size. What I love about it is that it has a duraceramic lining that prevents anything from sticking to it (and I do mean anything). Plus it cooks your meals in less time than it would take on the stove, so it is great when you want a home cooked meal, but don't have all day to get it done. Best of all, because I hate washing dishes, cleaning this skillet is SO EASY!

One of my favorite meals to make in this skillet is breakfast. Bacon cooks evenly and quickly without burning, which is amazing when you have distractions as you are cooking. Eggs are easy to flip and don't stick in the slightest. I also cook a lot of one pan dinners using my electric skillet, such as the amazing lemon garlic chicken and green beans you see below. You can find that recipe on Pinterest.

If you love to cook and haven't tried an electric skillet, I highly recommend that you do. It's a $30 investment that is well worth it.
