Why the Noise?

Technology is everywhere these days. From phones to computers and even tablets. So many cool gadgets are at our fingertips and most of them can be customized to our preferences. We have the ability to change how they look, set age and content restrictions, and truly make a device your own. But can you limit how loud the sound can be set? Absolutely not!
You may be wondering why an adult would reasonably care about not being able to limit the sound on a tablet, but as I'm sure some of you can guess, it's because my children use them. My kids both have Amazon Fire tablets that they use to watch educational videos that teach them colors, numbers, etc. They also watch cartoons and play games.

These tablets have been a huge asset in helping them learn with websites like Starfall.com, but my adorable children have this need to have the volume turned up ALL THE WAY. As you can imagine, listening to this for any length of time is so distracting when you are trying to get things done.
While I'm actively working to get my kids to understand the concept of turning down the volume, I find myself not understanding why this is something that can't be controlled through my Amazon parent controls. I can control so many things on those tablets including time limits and what content is and isn't allowed, so I have to wonder how hard it would be to just add the option of a limit for sound. As a person who uses tech constantly, I do understand that it is not as easy as adding a button on a dashboard, but I do think it would be a great asset to a kid-friendly tablet.
